This can represent the soldiers Big Boss hires. They have tiny souls, made tiny by the horrors of war. They are full of doubt. Full of fear. The guy who shines like the sun could be Big Boss. He gives them a reason to fight. Like how Sniper Wolf said "Saladin" rescued her and was her hero and stuff.

Only thing I can think of is the rivalry between BB and The Patriots, which is approaching.
