    Total War: WARHAMMER II®

Total War: WARHAMMER II is a strategy game of titanic proportions. Choose from four unique, varied factions and wage war your way – mounting a campaign of conquest to save or destroy a vast and vivid fantasy world.

This is a game of two halves – one a turn-based open-world campaign, and the other intense, tactical real-time battles across the fantastical landscapes of the New World.

Play how you choose – delve into a deep engrossing campaign, experience unlimited replayability and challenge the world in multiplayer with a custom army of your favourite units. Total War: WARHAMMER II offers hundreds of hours of gameplay and no two games are the same.

    World-Spanning Conquest
Engage in statecraft, diplomacy, exploration and build your empire, turn by turn. Capture, build and manage teeming settlements and recruit vast armies. Level up Legendary Lords and Heroes and arm them with mythical weapons and armour. Negotiate alliances or declare Total War to subjugate any that stand between you and your goal.

    Epic Real-Time Battles
Command thousands-strong legions of soldiers in intense tactical battles. Send forth ferocious, twisted monsters, fire-breathing dragons and harness powerful magic. Utilise military strategies, lay ambushes, or use brute force to turn the tide of combat and lead your forces to victory.

The second in a trilogy and sequel to the award-winning Total War: WARHAMMER, Total War: WARHAMMER II brings players a breath-taking new narrative campaign, set across the vast continents of Lustria, Ulthuan, Naggaroth and the Southlands. The Great Vortex Campaign builds pace to culminate in a definitive and climactic endgame, an experience unlike any other Total War title to date.

Playing as one of 8 Legendary Lords across 4 iconic races from the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles, players must succeed in performing a series of powerful arcane rituals in order to stabilise or disrupt The Great Vortex, while foiling the progress of the other races.

Each Legendary Lord has a unique geographical starting position, and each race offers a distinctive new playstyle with unique campaign mechanics, narrative, methods of war, armies, monsters, Lores of Magic, legendary characters, and staggering new battlefield army abilities.

Shortly after launch, owners of both the original game and Total War™ WARHAMMER II will gain access to the colossal third campaign. Exploring a single open-world epic map covering the Old World and the New World, players may embark on monumental campaigns as any owned Race from both titles.

    Conquer the world, together
Each of the Races in Total War™ WARHAMMER II will be playable in single and multiplayer campaign, plus custom and multiplayer battles. As the two Legendary Lords for each race all have their own unique campaign start positions, you’ll be able to play a 2-player co-op campaign as the same race. If you own both parts 1 and 2, you’ll be able to play in multiplayer as any of the races you own.

The World of Total War: WARHAMMER II
Millennia ago, besieged by a Chaos invasion, a conclave of High Elf mages forged a vast, arcane vortex. Its purpose was to draw the Winds of Magic from the world as a sinkhole drains an ocean, and blast the Daemonic hordes back to the Realm of Chaos. Now the Great Vortex falters, and the world again stands at the brink of ruin.

Powerful forces move to heal the maelstrom and avert catastrophe. Yet others seek to harness its terrible energies for their own bitter purpose. The race is on, and the very fate of the world will lie in the hands of the victor.

Prince Tyrion, Defender of Ulthuan, guides the High Elves in their desperate efforts to stabilise the vortex as it roils above their home continent.

Atop his palanquin-throne, the Slann Mage-Priest Mazdamundi directs his Lizardmen war-hosts as they surge northward from Lustria. He, too, is intent on preventing cataclysm, though the methods of The Old Ones must prevail.

The Witch King Malekith and his sadistic Dark Elf hordes spew forth from Naggaroth and their labyrinthine Black Arks. He tastes great weakness in the vortex – and great opportunity in its demise.

Meanwhile the Skaven, led by Queek Headtaker, stir in their foetid subterranean tunnels. There they multiply unchecked and look hungrily towards the surface, their motives obscured. The time for revelation is nigh…

Four races, four outcomes, a single goal: control of the Great Vortex, for good or ill.

    - DLC Total War: WARHAMMER II - Mortal Empires - Version 1.4.1 build 7450:

Total War: WARHAMMER II – Mortal Empires

This content is a massive free expansion to owners of both Total War: WARHAMMER & Total War: WARHAMMER II, and requires ownership of both games to play.

    • A new grand scale campaign set across the Old World and the New World.
    • Play as any Legendary Lord from both games and any owned DLC.
    • Thousands of hours of gameplay.
    • 295 conquerable settlements.
    • 117 starting factions.
    • Up to 35 playable Legendary Lords.
    • Free to owners of both Total War: WARHAMMER & Total War: WARHAMMER II.

Mortal Empires is a new grand-scale campaign, free to owners of both Total War: WARHAMMER and Total War: WARHAMMER II. Once downloaded, the campaign is accessible through the Campaigns Menu in Total War: WARHAMMER II.

Encompassing the vast combined landmasses of both the Old World and the New World, Mortal Empires enables you to embark upon colossal new campaigns playing as any Legendary Lord from both games, including any introduced Free content packs and any you own as DLC. Players will be able to embark on campaigns as any of the 35 existing Legendary Lords from both games. This includes the Dwarfs, Greenskins, Empire, Bretonnia, Wood Elves, High Elves, Dark Elves, Beastmen, Warriors of Chaos, Skaven, Vampire Counts and Lizardmen.

Unlike the Eye of The Vortex campaign that shipped with WARHAMMER II, Mortal Empires doesn’t focus on one overarching narrative. Instead, it offers the classic sandbox Total War experience in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world, expanding your empire in any direction you choose with no limits. You’ll still experience the escalating Chaos Warriors invasion from the original Total War: WARHAMMER Old World campaign, but with an exciting new twist: the forces of Chaos don’t just attack from the Chaos Wastes, but from other, unexpected directions as well…

Mortal Empires also features many of the new campaign features introduced in Total War: WARHAMMER II. These include treasure-hunting in ruins and encounters at sea; rogue armies, loyalty, rites and army abilities for the four New World races; new chokepoint battle maps; storms at sea; reefs and shallows; universal territory capture; plus numerous UI improvements and enhancements.

Mortal Empires is a bespoke new campaign map, not an exact reflection of the Old World and Eye of The Vortex campaign maps. As such, certain factions have unique new starting positions. The Skaven warlord Queek Headtaker of Clan Mors, for example, begins with ownership of Karag Orrud in the south-eastern Badlands. This puts him in the heart of Greenskin territory in the Old World.

    - DLC Total War: WARHAMMER II - Blood for the Blood God II Version 1.4.1 build 7450:

Total War™: WARHAMMER® II – Blood for the Blood God

PLEASE NOTE: This Effects Pack is free for players who have purchased Blood for the Blood God for the original Total War: WARHAMMER.

It has been added to their Steam library and will be downloaded automatically for WARHAMMER II.

“Through the smoke prowl roving bands of Witch Elves, murder in their hearts. Under the direction of their Hag Queens, they steal away any Dark Elves they find, often breaking into houses to drag the inhabitants to their bloody altars…”

From the icy peaks of Naggaroth to the arid reaches of the Southlands, each race struggles for dominion. As their conquests grow, the land turns crimson, and rivers run red with the blood of the slain!

Blood for The Blood God brings a number of gory, mature-rated effects to Total War: WARHAMMER II

    • Blood spurts.
    • Gory spatter on unit models.
    • Limb and head dismemberment (humanoids and non-legendary characters).
    • Zombies and skeletons may continue to fight after dismemberment!
    • Explosive gibbing from deadly mid-torso strikes.
    • Blood-drenched UI elements.
    • Random, global campaign events that generate greater carnage in battle.
Once downloaded, Blood effects can be enabled in the Advanced Graphics Settings of Total War: WARHAMMER II.
Please note that depending on your country of residence, Blood for the Blood God may raise the age rating of the main game.

    - DLC Total War: WARHAMMER II - Rise of the Tomb Kings Version 1.4.1 build 7450:

Total War: WARHAMMER II – Rise of the Tomb Kings

    • New Tomb Kings Race playable in both the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns
    • Unique Race mechanics inspired by the Tomb Kings lore
    • 4 new playable Legendary Lords: Settra the Imperishable, High Queen Khalida, Grand Hierophant Khatep and Arkhan the Black
    • Gather the cursed Books of Nagash and win the battle for the Black Pyramid to achieve ultimate victory
    • Uncover the mysteries of the past by researching the Nehekharan Dynasties
    • Tap the Realm of Souls to regenerate your troops and summon Ushabti in battle
    • Combine exotic trade goods and Canopic Jars – the Tomb Kings’ unique resource – to craft magic items and raise fabled Legions of Legend at the Mortuary Cult
    • Comprehensive army roster featuring iconic units from the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world

Across the arid deserts of Nehekhara, vast legions of skeletal warriors rise from beneath the baking sands to slaughter those who trespass into their domain. It is a lifeless realm of endless dunes, stained red from the blood of savages and barbarians. This is the Land of the Dead, where mummified kings are cursed to rule in perpetual unlife. But it was not always thus.

There was a time when the ancient kingdom of Nehekhara stood as a crown of human civilisation; a golden age when its cities shone with majestic splendour, its armies conquered entire nations and its kings ruled as gods among men. But this realm was razed millennia ago by the treacherous sorcery of reviled Nagash: in a stroke, the living perished and the dead rose from their tombs.

Death is no barrier to glory for the Tomb Kings however. In unlife, they will see the empire of Nehekhara restored to greatness!

    DLC informations:
    + Campaign gameplay
    - Objectives
While Tomb Kings can be played in the Eye of the Vortex campaign, they do not seek to influence the vortex, and therefore do not engage in the race for control of it. Instead, they seek the nine cursed Books of Nagash, a search culminating in an epic battle at the Black Pyramid of Nagash itself. Each of these books grants a unique campaign bonus, and puts the player a step further along the road to victory.

    - Unique resource: Canopic Jars
Ancient containers filled with arcane energy, Canopic Jars can be collected through missions, buildings, and as post-battle loot. They are used to awaken powerful units, unlock techs, perform rites and to craft unique items in the Mortuary Cult.

    - The Mortuary Cult
Keepers of the Lore of Nehekhara and the secrets of revivification, the Liche Priests of the Mortuary Cult can be called upon to construct unique and venerable items. Using a combination of trade resources and Canopic Jars, the player can order the construction of unique magic weapons, armour, talismans, plus enchanted and arcane items. For a cost, the Mortuary Cult can also resurrect powerful Legions of Legend for use in your armies.

    - The Dynasties of Nehekhara
Rather than developing new technologies, the Tomb Kings seek to unearth the achievements of their dynastic forbears. By studying these histories, players can resurrect great rulers of the past to serve as Lords for their armies, increase capacity for the various Tomb Kings Heroes, unlock a host of campaign and unit buffs, and awaken the Heralds of ancient armies – unique followers who bring powerful bonuses to key unit types in an army.

    - Rites
The Tomb Kings have four unique Rites which may be unlocked and used in campaign:

    Great Incantation of Ptra
Invoking the sun god summons Ptra’s Necrotect, a unique Hero character capable of colonising ruins at city level 3.

    Great Incantation of Khsar
Invoking the god of the desert wind generates sandstorms across all player-owned regions. This causes attrition to foreign armies, increases your ambush success chance and confers the army ability Sand Veil (enables a unit to become Hidden and gain Stalk in battle, making them invisible to the enemy until they draw very close).

    Great Incantation of Geheb
Invoking the god of strength increases Canopic Jar generation and province growth, reduces construction time, and confers the army ability Tombswarm (a swirling swarm of Scarabs which damages the target and moves in the same manner as a vortex spell).

    Great Incantation of Tahoth
Invoking the god of scholars adds a Casket of Souls magical artillery unit to the recruitment pool. It also confers a rank bonus to newly recruited Tomb Kings and unit recruits, and increases recruitment capacity factionwide.

    + Legendary Lords
The Tomb Kings feature four playable Legendary Lords, each with their own abilities, campaign bonuses, skill trees, quest-chains and campaign start-positions in both the Eye of the Vortex campaign and Mortal Empires.

    - Settra The Imperishable
Settra is the king of all Tomb Kings. He is a ruthless leader whose thirst for conquest knows no bounds. Unlike other Tomb Kings, his unyielding will is such that he never needs to return to his sarcophagus to rest. The immortality he so desired in life is now his, and the civilisations that flourished in his absence now feel his wrath.

Settra is a great leader, bringing bonuses to growth and public order, while reducing construction time. He also confers bonus armour to Skeleton Chariot and Tomb Guard units, and has a selection of unlockable mounts, including the Khemrian Warsphinx and the flame-wreathed Chariot of the Gods.

    - High Queen Khalida
The Warrior-Queen of Lybaras was famed for her intelligence, honour and bravery. Her reign was cut tragically short by her cousin Neferata, who had attempted to create the Elixir of Life. Instead of true immortality though, Neferata’s flawed potion granted the twisted form known as Vampirism, and as the first Vampire slew her cousin in combat, she granted her the Blood Kiss. With her last breath, Khalida cried out to Asaph, the serpent goddess, who purified her of the taint. She is now the Goddess’ chosen, with Asaph’s divine venom coursing through her veins.

Khalida reduces all forms of corruption, enjoys a diplomatic relations bonus with other Tomb Kings factions and grants a hefty bonus to ammunition for all ranged units across her faction. She also confers poison attacks on all units in her army and suffers considerably less from attrition effects.

    - Grand Hierophant Khatep
The head of the Mortuary Cult’s Hieorphantic Council, Khatep is the oldest and wisest of the Liche Priests, and the first of them to deny death’s embrace. It was Khatep who awoke Settra to unlife after Nagash’s Great Ritual levelled Nehekhara, but Settra’s distrust of the Mortuary Cult led him to exile Khatep. Now he roams the Land of the Dead, assisting the Tomb Kings where he can and seeking a way to restore himself in the eyes of Settra.

Khatep grants a bonus to Dynasty research rate, and improves casualty replenishment and army movement factionwide. He can also recruit a higher number of Liche Priest Heroes, and recruits them at a higher rank.

    - Arkhan the Black
Nagash’s principle lieutenant, Arkhan helped lead the coup which brought the hated arch-necromancer to initial power. He led many armies against Nagash’s enemies, and was finally slain in a suicidal counter-attack against the Priest King’s soldiers that enabled Nagash to escape. He was raised again by his master to become the Liche King, and for countless generations since Nagash’s death at the hands of King Alcadizaar, he has vented his wrath on the lands of the living.

Arkhan enjoys bonus diplomatic relations with Vampire Counts factions, and his regions never suffer public order penalties from Vampiric corruption. Heroes embedded in his army gain melee attack and melee defence bonuses, and all his armies factionwide gain a boost to their Winds of Magic Power Reserve.

    - New Lord: Tomb King
Tomb Kings are the principle Lords which lead the armies of Nehekhara. A number will appear as standard in the recruitment pool, but unique, named Tomb Kings – famous rulers from the six dynasties of Nehekharan history – may be resurrected via the Dynasties panel, at which point they enter your Lords recruitment pool. Tomb kings may unlock the Skeletal Steed, Skeleton Chariot, and Khemrian Warsphinx as mounts.

    - New Hero: Tomb Prince
Following the example of their kings, Tomb Princes aspire to greatness in all things. They form the principle champions of the Nehekharan forces in battle, and have a unique Curse ability which makes targeted enemies enter a state of Rampage. Tomb princes may unlock Skeletal Steeds and Skeletal Chariots as mounts.

    - New Hero: Liche Priest
The adepts of the Mortuary Cult are the Tomb King’s principle sorcerers. They may be recruited to wield the Lore of Light, the Lore of Death, or the Lore of Nehekhara, and have a unique Curse ability which reduces enemy armour values. They also gain the Immortal skill earlier than other agents. Liche priests may unlock Skeletal Steeds and Skeleton Chariots as mounts.

    - New Hero: Necrotect
Representing millennia of architectural wisdom, Necrotects are the builders and taskmasters of Nehekhara. They perform a number of functions, such as reducing building costs and increasing movement speed when embedded in your armies, but also fulfil a key support role in battle. As master masons, they provide passive aura-based buffs to Construct units such as Ushabti, Tomb Scorpions and Hierotitans, improving their combat abilities in a number of ways. Necrotects may unlock Skeletal Steeds and Skeleton Chariots as mounts.

    + Battle gameplay
    - The Realm of Souls
The Realm of Souls is the revered afterlife of Nehekharan legend, and the origin of the Liche Priests’ magical power. As more of your warriors fall to the enemy in battle, more souls enter the Realm, which is tracked in the battle UI. At three key thresholds, the Realm of Souls triggers a mass healing-wave among your skeletal units, each wave becoming successively more powerful. After the final wave, the player also gains an army ability allowing them to summon a unit of statuesque Ushabti anywhere on the battlefield.

    - The Lore of Nehekhara
In battle, Liche Priests may harness the power of the desert gods and wield the Tomb King’s signature magic, the Lore of Nehekhara.

    - DLC - Total War: WARHAMMER II - Tretch Craventail Version 1.4.1 build 7450:

Tretch Craventail will become available on January 23rd at the same time as the Total War: WARHAMMER II – Rise of the Tomb Kings Campaign Pack. Check back to this page then, and click the Download button to get Tretch Craventail for your game for free.

Once downloaded, you may start a new Eye of the Vortex or Mortal Empires campaign as the Skaven Clan Rictus, led by Tretch Craventail.

    - Tretch Craventail
Chieftain of Clan Rictus, the warlord Tretch Craventail is unique amongst his kind. Even for a Race which exemplifies high cunning and peerless guile, Tretch stands head and shoulders above the Skaven pack thanks to his startling gift for underhandedness.

His legendary instinct for self-preservation has saved his skin on many occasions and continues to do so. Moreover, it informs the manner in which he exerts controls over Clan Rictus. In battle, Tretch’s army will gain attack bonuses when ambushing or fighting a battle after an initial retreat. Troops under Tretch’s direct control can vanguard deploy in all battles, and his empire revels in discord, gaining public order bonuses whenever diplomatic treaties are broken.

    - DLC - Total War: WARHAMMER II - Steps of Isha Version 1.4.1 build 7450:

The Steps of Isha is a free downloadable Map Pack for Total War: WARHAMMER II. This Map Pack contains 4 new battle maps for custom and multiplayer battles in Total War: WARHAMMER II.

These maps offer striking visions of the High Elven lands, with a focus on their highly magical landscape. The Steps of Isha consists of four adjacent battlefields situated on different tiers, with a malignant corruption breaking down the surrounding lands. The maps are visually related, with similar elements appearing throughout, including a magical statue in each map facing the central tower.

From a gameplay perspective, the focus is on formidable defensive positions that discourage direct attacks, but are vulnerable to indirect approaches. The four maps of the Steps of Isha are:

    • Steps of Isha: Pit of Thorns (Land battle)
    • Steps of Isha: Broken Hills (Land battle)
    • Steps of Isha: Heartlands (Land battle)
    • Steps of Isha: Shining Summit (Free-for-all battles)

    - DLC - Total War: WARHAMMER II - Alith Anar Version 1.4.1 build 7450:

Total War: WARHAMMER II - Alith Anar

Alith Anar will become available as a free download for Total War: WARHAMMER II on May 31st, to coincide with launch of The Queen & The Crone Lord Pack.

    - Alith Anar
Last of the noble line of House Anar and Prince of Nagarythe, Alith Anar – The Shadow King – has returned to wreak vengeance on the hated Druchii!
Alith Anar appears as a new High Elf Legendary Lord in both the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns. Voiced by Hollywood actor Dylan Sprouse, Alith Anar brings a host of unique traits and abilities to High Elf campaign and battle gameplay.

    + Traits and abilities
Alith Anar’s gameplay style is all about speed and stealth, with reduced Global Recruitment duration, excellent movement range, bonuses to ambushing and a hefty upkeep reduction for Shadow Walker units.

    - Shadow Realm: Alith Anar is able to move like a shadow across the campaign map, greatly reducing the chance of being intercepted.

    - Shadow Walkers: Alith Anar is able to recruit his own dedicated units of elite skirmishers.

    - Spirit of Vengeance: All armies of Nagarythe gain the ambush stance as their default stance.

    - Marked For Death: At certain intervals, a hit-list of characters in the world will be Marked for Death. Eliminating these targets will grant various rewards, including influence which can be used to buy Lords or gain favour in the court.

    - Mislead: This battle ability enables Alith Anar to conjure an identical decoy of himself on the battlefield while he slips into the shadows.

    - Invocation of Morai-Heg: Alith Anar’s new and exclusive Rite allows him to summon the Hand of the Shadow Crown to serve him. This elite Shadow Warrior Hero can assassinate any target Alith Anar so desires, with 100% lethal accuracy, before fading once more into the Shadow Realm.

    - DLC - Total War: WARHAMMER II - The Queen & The Crone Version 1.4.1 build 7450:

Total War: WARHAMMER II - The Queen & The Crone

Her eternal duty: to defend Ulthuan and its residents from the depredations of the impure. With a rallying cry, she is joined by the Handmaidens, the Sisters of Avelorn, and the spirits of the woods themselves!

Meanwhile, dark acts are afoot in Naggaroth. Crone Hellebron stirs in Har Ganeth, and calls a Blood Night: the slaves are released upon the streets and slaughtered in their thousands. Bathing in the rivers of spilled blood, Hellebron’s powers are magnified beyond belief, with Doomfire Warlocks and Sisters of Slaughter flocking to her banner. The Asur will pay for their eternal treachery – and imminently!

    + New Legendary Lords
    - Alarielle the Radiant

Commanding the High Elf faction of Avelorn, Alarielle’s power is that of nature itself. As she travels through the Elven lands, she brings great joy to the people, improving public order and reducing corruption. However, she is also subject to the Mortal World’s Torment; as Chaos seeps into the world, her battlefield powers wane. Only reducing and ridding of Chaos armies will return her to her full powers.

Alarielle is a mixed-lore Caster, with access to a blend of Life magic and High magic. She may embark on a quest for her Legendary Item, the Star of Avelorn, and may be upgraded to ride an Elven Steed, Barded Ithilmar Steed, and a Great Eagle. She can also recruit Forest Spirit units such as Dryads, Treekin and Treemen.

Alarielle also has a unique campaign mechanic called Defender of Ulthuan. It is her sacred duty to see that the inner and outer territories of the High Elves’ home are kept free of enemy occupation. While they remain clear, they bestow powerful benefits. Should invaders sully Ulthuan with their presence however, the Asur’s trust in Alarielle will fall, bringing a suite of negative effects.

Alarielle has access to a unique Rite: The Invocation of Lileath. Once active, this rite brings a suite of benefits to Handmaidens, Sisters of Avelorn and Dryads.

    - Crone Hellebron

Hellebron the Hag-Queen leads the forces of Har Ganeth, a uniquely murderous Dark Elf faction. She may periodically call a Death Night, expending slaves on a night of murderous rampage, to keep her powers strong. Failure to regularly hold these festivals will have a detrimental effect on Hellebron. As each Death Night is called, nearby Dark Elves undertake the Blood Voyage, raising an army in thrall to Crone Hellebron, and in whose post-battle rewards she shares.

Hellebron gains massive upkeep reductions to Witch Elves and Har Ganeth Executioners and Sisters of Slaughter, which she can also improve via her unique skill tree. She may embark on a quest for her twinned Legendary weapons, the Deathsword and the Cursed Blade, and may be upgraded to ride a Dark Steed, a Cauldron of Blood, and a Manticore.

Hellebron also has access to a unique new Dark Elf rite: Sacrifice to Drakira. Once active, this rite brings bonuses when fighting High Elves, a reduction in diplomatic relations with High Elves, and rank bonuses to both Death Hags and Witch Elf units.

    + Unique Units
    - Kharibdyss (Hellebron)
Excelling as an anti-large unit by munching on other monsters, the Kharibdyss may be slow and lumbering but its poisonous armour-piercing attacks are some of the hardest hitting in the game. Its terrifying presence and abyssal howl reduce the most courageous leaders to mere shadows of their former selves, and even dragons may end up reduced to little more than a mid-battle snack by one of its many mouths.

    - Sisters of Avelorn (Alarielle)
Among Alarielle’s most loyal warriors, the Sisters of Avelorn are dual-role combatants, skilled with both blade and bow. Their Bows of Avelorn deal Magical Flaming attacks, and like many High Elf units, they are subject to Martial Prowess.

    - Shadow Warriors (Alarielle)
The first (and often last!) clue a foe gets to the presence of the Shadow Warriors is a ravaging hail of arrows tearing into their ranks. With Vanguard Deployment, Stalk, and long-range bows, they can remain undetected while raining death from afar. They are also Master Ambushers, enabling them to stay hidden on the move, in any terrain, while firing in any direction.

    - Sisters of Slaughter (Hellebron)
These murderous gladiators of death wield cruel lash-whips dealing poisonous attacks. They also cause Fear, are subject to Murderous Mastery, and can trigger the Trial of Blades augment when losing in melee, improving their combat abilities.

    - Doomfire Warlocks (Hellebron)
These elite, magical cavalry are very fast moving, and deal both Magical and Poisonous attacks in melee. They are subject to Murderous Prowess, and may cast two Bound Spells: Soulblight and Lesser Doombolt.

    - Unique Hero: Handmaiden (Alarielle)
Handmaidens act as the right hand of Alarielle. They have several unique specialisations available in their skill trees, enabling them to influence diplomacy, trade and influence, to bolster their resilience in battle, and to make them peerless archers.

    - Unique Lord: Supreme Sorceress (Hellebron)
Hellebron can field new caster Lords to lead her armies. Supreme Sorceresses may be recruited to wield the lores of Fire, Dark, Shadows, Beasts and Death. They can be given Names of Power to grant them new abilities, and upgraded to ride a range of mounts, from the Dark Steed to the Cold One, Dark Pegasus, Manticore and the mighty Black Dragon.
