Pixar mọi năm thường ẵm giải Oscars, dù là phim tệ, Turning red lại là phim tốt. Tuy nhiên Del Toro cũng là đạo diễn Oscars, mà Pinocchio thắng oanh liệt các giải trước đó nên Pixar hơi khó lật kèo.
