The Marvel Creative Committee, in all their infinite wisdom, didn't want Captain America and Iron Man coming to blows. Instead, they wanted The Avengers to reunite to battle the super soldiers that Baron Zemo led them to in a secret Hydra facility in Siberia. "Captain America: Civil War" co-writer Stephen McFeely recalls, "We had to do a draft where they had a fight in a submarine base with five super soldiers."

Directors Anthony & Joe Russo were not happy about this potential change to "Captain America: Civil War." Joe Russo said, "We kept saying, "There's nothing interesting about that film. We're not here to make that movie. We're not interested in telling another superhero story.'"

Kevin Feige found himself siding with the filmmakers. After years of playing nice and working as the go-between for the Marvel Creative Committee and the creatives at Marvel Studios, this was the straw that broke the camel's back when it came to negotiating and compromising with the executives in New York. This time there would be no negotiating. As Joe Russo said:

"Civil War started a civil war in Marvel. But when we drew the line in the sand, it became a moment where that company was either going to slowly bend back toward where it had come from, or it was gonna slowly start to bend toward new territory.

Initially, Kevin Feige was able to keep their constant notes and suggestions about the trajectory of Marvel movies at bay by carefully compromising the needs and wishes of his creative team and the demands of Marvel Entertainment executives in New York. But as time went on, the Marvel Creative Committee starting becoming more demanding and meddlesome. In case you need to know how misguided this group was, they're the ones responsible for delivering 25 pages of notes across four years of development on "Ant-Man," and their demands resulted in Edgar Wright leaving the project. They also tried to put a kibosh on James Gunn's signature soundtrack for "Guardians of the Galaxy," and they're responsible for reducing Rebecca Hall's much more significant role in "Iron Man 3" based on the perception of female action figures not selling well (a perspective that would also hurt Black Widow and delay the introduction of Hela, the goddess of death).

"'At first, I was super resentful," she admits. 'I think I started crying and threw him out of my office, or threw a sandwich at him - I'm not sure which.' Then she started to think it through. 'By the fifth [Spider-Man] movie, we weren't giving them anything new. And I have to be honest about it, we were trying so hard to be different, we even went into places to be different that we shouldn't have. We weren't fresh anymore.'"

"Pascal continues, 'The lucky thing is, Kevin and I come from the same place in terms of how we love Peter. I've been working with Kevin on Spider-Man movies since Sam Raimi's. He would come to the meetings, get everybody coffee, and he never said a word for years. Which makes you love somebody because then when they do open their mouth, you realize that they've been thinking all the big thoughts and are really smart, but never had to hear themselves talk.'


Pascal called Feige back the next day after their lunch. The concept of a collaboration between Sony and Marvel Studios had not left her mind. After hearing his specific thoughts on what to do with Spider-Man in the MCU, she admits, 'The idea of putting him up against a world where everybody had everything and he had nothing was a whole new way of telling his story. I thought, 'Goddamn, that guy's smart.''"

Thực ra làm phim là canh bạc thôi, mà trước thời Civil war thì ko có tiền lệ nào 2 nhân vật icon chính diện quay ra choảng nhau nên studio chắc chắc phải rất sợ hãi nếu nước đi này mà sai lầm là tất cả các bên liên quan đưa ra và đồng ý với quyết định có thể sẽ bị sa thải hết vào năm tiếp theo. Ông để ý cùng 1 năm 2016 có 2 phim siêu anh hùng làm về nội chiến thì Marvel Civil War thoát "nạn" còn BvS bị chửi như chó sa lỗ bởi cả critics lẫn khán giả đại chúng, làm ảnh hưởng nặng nề thương hiệu nhà D là hiểu cái chủ đề đó ko làm cẩn thận hậu quả sẽ ra sao.
Nói lại cứ bảo là suốt ngày tâng bốc, nhưng thành công của Marvel chứng minh là tầm nhìn của Feige đúng, hợp với khán giả phần đông, Screencap lại cái này từ topic Eternals bên BOT thôi, ta cũng ko rõ lắm chính xác nội tình nhà bên lúc đó như nào nhưng có thể thấy định hướng của leader cũng rất quan trọng, Feige mà có ý tưởng thế kia chắc giờ cũng bị non fans chửi quá dù ý tưởng đấy nhà bên còn ko dc phép thực hiện
