AKB1/153 Announced For PS Vita and PSP

When 48 girls just isn't enough, Namco Bandai's next entry in the AKB1/48 series will give you the chance to experience sweet love and bitter rejection with a full 153 girls. Titled AKB1/153 Love Election, this third entry in the series will be released for PSP and, for the first time, PS Vita on December 20.

The first two PSP AKB1/48 games were love sims that put players in a dream situation of having all 48 members of girl group AKB48 be madly in love with them. The girls would confess their love in succession, and you'd have to reject them until you came to your one true love.

AKB1/153 features all the girls from AKB48. This time, they're joined by members of sister groups SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48. The premise is the same: all 153 girls have the hots for you, and you'll have to reject all but one.


Like the AKB1/48 games, AKB1/153 features portraits and videos of the girls. The total video time is the highest for the series. There so much video that the PSP version ships on two UMDs. (The Vita version is just one card.)

Namco Bandai is going all-out with the packaging for AKB1/153. Both versions will ship in standalone form for ¥7,329 (a download version will also be available) and as part of a limited edition priced ¥14,679. The limited edition includes a set of 10 pictures, download content codes, a special box, and ten "making" DVDs: four for AKB48 totaling 400 minutes of footage, three for SKE48 totaling 300 minutes, two for NMB48 totaling 200 minutes and one for HKT48 totaling 100 minutes.

Total shipments for the AKB1/48 series have topped 800,000, Namco Bandai also said today.

Munch's Oddysee HD and Stranger's Wrath HD coming to Vita 'very soon' - videogamer.com

News on Abe HD coming in September, Oddworld Inhabitants reveals.



Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD will both be available on PlayStation Vita "very soon", Oddworld Inhabitants has announced.

Speaking on its Facebook page, OI suggested that development on both titles was coming to a close, and that fans won't "have to hold [their] breathes too long" to see either of them.

"Both Stranger's Wrath HD and Munch's Oddysee HD are coming to VITA very soon," said OI. "We just need to get them finished up and through Sony QA before we can release them."

Furthermore, Oddworld Inhabitants added that news on the upcoming HD remake of Abe's Oddysee would be coming "at the end of September", including confirmation of platforms the title will launch on, and a competition inviting users to suggest a new name for the game.

"We need a name for our 2.5D remake of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee," it said, "and we need it in time for the big reveal later this year. We’ve considered Abe's Oddysee HD, but that makes it sound like we've injected bigger pictures into the original engine.

"This is a grounds-up remake with glorious 3D graphics but retaining the classic 2D gameplay! We need a name that stands out and does it justice!"

To suggest a name, head through to the post on Oddworld.com. If your title is picked, you'll win a signed poster of the game's cover art and get your name featured in the game's credits.

UK developer Just Add Water announced in 2010 that it had secured a contract to develop multiple titles in the Oddworld universe.

In addition to the HD remakes, the studio is expected to be developing all-new Oddworld title 'Oddworld: Hand of Odd'.

"Metal Gear Solid" Standalone HD Editions Sneaking Onto 360, PS3 and PS Vita This Month - complex.com

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection compiles some classic MGS games on a variety of platforms and gave them a gorgeous HD makeover. But a new option will be available this month for those who didn't want to throw down for all the games the collection contains.

Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be released in their HD forms as standalone downloadable titles later this month.

On August 21, MGS 2 and 3 HD hit PS Vita and PS3 (by way of PlayStation Network), and a bundle with both drops on Xbox Live's storefront.

Then, on August 28, Peace Walker hits PS3 and 360, and the full bundle (with all three) hits PS3.

New Dungeon RPG cho PSVita

Experience, the studio behind Students of the Round, are developing a brand new dungeon RPG for PlayStation Vita. Currently, the game does not have a name, but this will be an adventure with swords and magic in a fantasy world.

The world resembles medieval Europe, but will have fantasy staples like elves, dwarves, and fairies. Of course, there will be monsters like goblins and dragons too. You play as an adventurer which the game calls a "bounty hunter."



Kadokawa Games opened a site with a list of weapons like a dagger, double edged dagger, long sword, and axe. This game also has chakrams, boomerangs, crossbows, and a broom for sorcerers. You can apply to name some of the items here, but it looks like they’re only taking Japanese suggestions with six kanji/hiragana/katakana characters.

Sexy war tactics game Eiyuu Senki (Heroine War Princess) was originally released as an 18-and-up PC game. Today, the game's developer revealed that it was being ported to the PS3 and the PS Vita. And yes, that's probably minus the original game's hardcore sex scenes.

The developer is also working on a social game as well as a PC game sequel, which probably will have adult content. So there you go!

The original light novel version of Sakura-so no Pet na Kanojo tells the story of Sorata Kanda, a first year high school student who gets into trouble because he takes care of a cat in his dorm room. He's told to either get rid of the cat, or get out of the dorm. He opts for the latter choice and ends up residing at the terrible Sakura House. When the school year begins, world famous manga artist, and the story's heroine, Mashiro Shiina comes to stay at Sakura House too.
